The deal, in plain words.
Last updated: 26 July 2026
- Pay per seat, per month. Cancel yourself, anytime, and keep access until the period ends.
- Your hours are yours. We don't sell them, mine them, or train anything on them.
- Export your data whenever you like — including on the way out.
- We'll give you 30 days' notice before any change that matters.
The agreement
These terms are between you (or the company you sign up on behalf of, “you”) and Klokly (Lars Sohl), based in Denmark(“we”, “Klokly”). They apply when you create an account or use the service at klokly.app.
If you sign up for a company, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms on its behalf. Our privacy policy forms part of this agreement.
One person, one login
- You must be 18 or older and give accurate account details.
- Keep your password to yourself. Logins are per person — sharing one between colleagues isn't allowed, and each person needs a seat.
- You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at hello@klokly.app if you think someone else has got in.
- A company admin creates and removes accounts in their workspace, and can see the workspace's hours per job. What an admin cannot see is who worked on which task, or at what time of day.
Per seat, per month
- Trial.14 days, free, no card. When it ends you add a subscription to carry on. Nothing is deleted if you don't.
- Seats. You pay for the number of licences you hold, not the number of hours tracked. Add or remove seats whenever you like — Stripe prorates the change automatically, up and down.
- Billing. Monthly in advance, through Stripe. Prices exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.
- Late payment. If a payment fails we'll email you and retry. If it stays unpaid we may suspend access to the workspace — we won't delete your data because of it.
- Price changes. At least 30 days' notice by email, taking effect at your next renewal. Don't like it? Cancel before then.
Cancel yourself, keep your data
Cancel from your admin page at any time — one click opens your Stripe billing portal. No phone call, no form, no exit interview. You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for, and we don't refund part-months.
Export your hours as CSV or a printable timesheet whenever you like, including after you cancel and before you delete anything. Any user, whatever their role, can delete their own account from Settings; an owner can delete the whole company, which cancels the subscription and erases everything immediately and irreversibly.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks section 05, or that has been unpaid for more than 60 days. Except where the law requires otherwise, we'll give you 30 days to export first.
Don't do these
- Break the law, or use Klokly to help someone else do it.
- Try to break into other customers' data, probe the service for weaknesses without asking us first, or work around seat limits.
- Resell, sublicense, or white-label Klokly as your own product. Putting your own logo on your own reports is exactly what the branding feature is for, and is fine.
- Upload other people's personal data that you have no right to process, or content that is illegal or infringing.
- Hammer the service in a way that degrades it for others, or scrape it with automated tools outside the documented API.
Found a security problem? Email hello@klokly.app. We'll work with you and we won't pursue anyone acting in good faith.
It stays yours
You own everything you put into Klokly. We claim no rights over your hours, tasks, notes, or files beyond what we need to run the service for you — storing it, backing it up, and showing it back to you.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to train AI models.Where your company is the controller of its employees' data, we act as its processor under GDPR art. 28; the details are in our privacy policy, and a signed data processing agreement is available on request at hello@klokly.app.
The software, design, and brand are ours. Feedback you send us we may use freely to improve the product, with no obligation to you.
No uptime promise, but no games either
Klokly is provided “as is”. We aim for it to be available and correct, but we don't offer a contractual uptime guarantee at these prices, and we don't promise it's free of bugs. We may change or retire features; if a change materially reduces what you get, we'll tell you at least 30 days ahead and you can cancel.
We keep backups, but they're our safety net, not yours: they are for restoring the service, not for recovering data you deleted on purpose. Export regularly if your records matter to your business — and they probably do.
Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is capped at what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost profit, lost business, or data you could have exported.
Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that can't be limited under Danish law. If you're a consumer rather than a business, your statutory rights are unaffected.
The boring but necessary part
We may update these terms. For anything material — price, your rights, our liability — we'll email account owners at least 30 days before it takes effect. Carrying on using Klokly after that means you accept the new version; if you'd rather not, cancel before the date. This page always shows the date it was last changed.
These terms are governed by Danish law, and disputes go to the courts of Denmark. If you're a consumer in the EU, you can also use the authorities and courts of your own country.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
Talk to a person
Klokly (Lars Sohl), Denmark — hello@klokly.app. We answer business, privacy, and security mail from the same address, and we'll get back to you within a few working days.
